Many customers like to know about the company and people behind the products they buy. Here I will tell you a little about myself and my company.
The company was started in November 2003 by Me, Marty "Tech" Haugen. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and a 30 year motorcycle rider with over 350,000 miles in the saddle. Riding, over the years, a 1978 Kawasaki KZ750, 1981 Harley-Davidson FXB and a 2003 Victory V92TC.
I started the company as a possible way to finance my love of riding and wrenching. My bikes and I have gone through many changes over the years and one thing I always believed in was a good deal and honesty.
I believe that I can provide those things to my customers. I try to be up front and honest with all of my customers. I try to give everyone a good deal. I don't gouge. I make enough from the business to pay for the business and a little extra. It is a side interest, as I still work as a industrial Plant Manager 5 days a week.
If you think my prices are too high or that you are not being treated fairly or you just have a question about your order or an item in general, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me. I enjoy talking with my customers.
There will be times that I am not available to talk, I live the lifestyle, and spend as much time as possible, in the wind. I believe "A BAD day of riding is better than a GOOD day at work", so I ride.
I try not to let the riding interfere with the business of taking care of my customers, but I am a one man operation, and growing a business, holding down a job, and getting enough seat time is difficult at times. Please have patience and bear with me if I don't get back to you immediately.
Let me know if there is anything you would like to see or do not want to see. I operate and maintain the site myself. Things can be changed "to a point".

Membership
Here at Motorcycle Tool Chest/Haugen Enterprises there are never any membership fees, and NO MINIMUM order. We do not believe in hassles. We do everything possible to make you feel right at home, doing business with us.
Security
Online order information is encrypted and sent via SSL secure transmission, the latest and most secure technology available. NO Credit Card information is maintained after the sale.
Privacy
Information you give us is never sold or given to others. You will never receive unsolicited email from us. We appreciate your business and respect you privacy.
Logo and Trademarks belong to Haugen Enterprises, www.MotorcycleToolChest.com and other leading manufacturers. No logo or personal content is allowed to be taken, altered, or used in any way without written consent from Motorcycle Tool Chest, Haugen Enterprises or our manufacturers/distributors. Legal action will be taken if not followed.
Errors on Web site
We are not responsible for typographical errors on our web site. If you have a question about an error, email us and we will contact you with the correct information and see if you wish to complete your purchase.
Stock
Because we are a small company, we do not stock everything on the site, to save you money we buy at wholesale and sell to you for a very small markup. To save time and overhead, some items are drop shipped from our distributors direct to you.
Cautionary Shipping Notice
Please allow 24-48 hours for your order to be shipped. Upgrading the method of shipment to Next Day or 2nd Day Air does not change how long it takes us to assemble and ship your order -- it only reduces the travel time after your order leaves our warehouse.
Because we deal with several manufacturers and distributors, your order may not be shipped together. We reserve the right to break up orders as needed to ensure your order is filled promptly.
It is our goal to ship orders no later than the second business day after the order is placed, unless a later date is specified. Backorders do occasionally happen and if an item you ordered is backordered we will contact you with an estimated shipping date and give you the option to cancel your order.
Prices listed do not include any shipping or delivery charges. These charges are based on the order total, class of service and destination of your order and will be provided at the time you place your order.
Since our couriers will not guarantee transit time for packages going to residential addresses, we cannot guarantee transit time.
Purchasers agree to accept responsibility for provision of complete and accurate delivery address information and to pay for any charges incurred as a result of incorrect delivery information. Complete information is defined as recipients full name, street number, street name (PO boxes can be accepted), city, state, and zip code. Although not required, provision of the recipients telephone number is recommended.
We will make every effort to ship packages on a schedule that allows timely receipt. We cannot, however, guarantee or be held responsible for shipping delays which result from processing issues on the part of or couriers or other circumstances outside of the direct control of Haugen Enterprises.
Payment
We accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover Credit Card Payments directly on the site. American Express is accepted via Paypal. Paypal does not require you to open an account, but we recommend that you do so to give you more options when ordering items on the web.
Sales Tax
We are required by law to charge a sales tax of 9.25% for all orders delivered to addresses in Tennessee.
We also voluntarily collect sales tax for the following states: AR, IA, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, NV, NC, ND, NE, NJ, OK, RI, SD, WV, WY. In April we will begin collecting tax for addresses in Nevada
Returns
We hope that your purchase is satisfactory. But in the event you should need to return an item or you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a prompt exchange or refund within 7 business days. All merchandise must be returned with original box and packaging materials. Shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded. Damaged merchandise must be reported within 24 hours of receipt and must be returned in original packaging. We will issue an exchange or full refund for damaged items.
ALL RETURNS/REFUNDS MUST BE AUTHORIZED
Please email Customer Service. Return shipping is the responsibility of the recipient or buyer.
Order Cancellation
Order cancellations can only be accepted prior to shipment.
